Dr. Jie (Jamie) Sun is an Associate Professor in the Collins College of Hospitality Management at ²©88ÑÇÖÞ. She currently teaches Event Management courses. Dr. Sun’s research focuses on consumers’ perceptions and behavioral responses to various marketing strategies, particularly in the context of meetings and events. Her work has been published in top-tier academic journals, such as Tourism Management, Journal of Travel Research, International Journal of Hospitality Management, International Journal of Contemporary Hospitality Management, and Journal of Hospitality and Tourism Management.

Having worked in various positions in the industry, Dr. Sun has established a solid foundation for teaching a variety of topics in Event Management. Prior to joining ²©88ÑÇÖÞ, she had over 10 years of teaching experience in both China and the United States.

Dr. Sun earned a Ph.D. in Hospitality Administration at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, a B.S. in Event Management at Shanghai University of Business and Economics, and an M.S. in Recreation and Leisure Studies at Florida State University.
