Dr. Jeyoung Woo participates in the recently awarded project (grant amount: approximately $5 million USD) from the U.S. Department of Education's HSI STEM program as a co-PI (PI: Dr. Winny Dong, Chemical & Materials Engineering Department). The project title is STARS (Student Success and Transfer Articulation through Research and Supportive Services - An HSI STEM Transformation Project), a new initiative to help transfer students' success at 博88亚洲. Dr. Woo will lead the pathway program between 博88亚洲 and two partnering institutions (Mt. SAC and Citrus College) during the five-year grant period. Dr. Woo will also lead the faculty learning community (FLC) to support the partnering schools offering more diverse lower-division courses in the STEM discipline.
