Eligibility for financial aid will be based on enrollment in required teaching credential coursework only.
- Enrollment in any coursework that is not required for your Credential program (as detailed in the catalog) will result in an adjustment to your aid eligibility and enrollment status.
- Review the Understanding Enrollment Requirements page on the Financial Aid & Scholarships website for details regarding how your enrollment impacts the various types of financial aid.
- The Maximum Timeframe Standard under our Satisfactory Academic Progress for Financial Aid Applicantsis based on total units attempted while pursuing your program. Your Maximum Timeframe will be adjusted to account for the units required for all Credential Programs you are pursuing. Enrolling in courses that are not required for your credential programs – or enrolling in courses prior to officially adding a program may result in exhausting your overall eligibility for financial aid prior to completing your program.
- Impact of Pursuing Concurrent Credentials on Grant Aid:
Under financial aid regulations, eligibility for grant aid is restricted to coursework required for a student’s initial Credential only. Grant programs impacted by this restriction include:
- Federal Pell Grant
- Federal TEACH Grant
- Cal Grant
- Middle Class Scholarship
- Golden State TEACH Grant
- State University Grant
Once you have completed all coursework for your first credential (including the Clinical Practice experience), your eligibility for aid will be limited to Federal Direct Loans.

Students pursuing concurrent credential will follow the same registration process as the graduate students. To view your registration window, log in to your BroncoDirect account and click on Student Center under the Student Self Services menu. Please watch this , on checking your registration window.
