Education Benefits
- Eligibility Requirement: To utilize the employee or dependent fee waiver for future terms, an active and eligible appointment must be maintained.
- Separation Before the Term Begins: If a fee waiver participant separates from the CSU prior to the start of the term, the fee waiver will be canceled, and the employee will be responsible for any outstanding balance.
- Separation After the Term Begins: If the employee separates after the semester has started, the fee waiver will remain in effect for the remainder of the semester.
- Tax Implications: If the tuition waived is subject to taxation, and the fee waiver was applied prior to separation, the former employee will receive an Accounts Receivable notice for any applicable tax deductions owed.
