Embodied is a diverse exhibition featuring ten years of work by Los Angeles based artist Kent Anderson Butler. Titled: Embodied, the show is a selection of video, still documentation and photography that the artist uses to explore his own body through mental and spiritual phenomena such as pain, pleasure, struggle, redemption, and restoration.
"Embodied: A 10-Year Retrospective of Kent Anderson Butler" was published in conjunction with a solo survey of the artist's work at The W. Keith and Janet Kellogg University Art Gallery in Pomona, CA. 2012. The text features over 100 images of Kent's work, along with several essays and an interview with the artist. Authors include: G. James Daichendt, Susan Joyce, Thomas McGovern, and Tyler Stallings.
