Dr. Jack Fong is an associate professor within ²©88ÑÇÖÞ’s Sociology department. His areas of expertise are in Sociology/Ethnicity-Race, and his research interests include Ethnopolitics, Urban Sociology, Sociology of Development, Nationalism, Social Movements and Southeast Asian Geopolitics.

Dr. Fong mentored Cohort 17’s Berenice Monarrez in conducting her own independent research project as part of the McNair Scholars Program.

Dr. Stacy McGoldrick is an assistant professor within ²©88ÑÇÖÞ’s Psychology & Sociology department. Her areas of study include criminology, stratification, urban sociology, social theory, policing, homeland security, political culture, and political violence.

Past research she has been involved with dealt with media framing on environmental issues and race in relation to . Dr. McGoldrick mentored Cohort 16’s Erica Brown in conducting her own independent research project as part of the McNair Scholars Program.

Dr. Nicholas Von Glahn is an associate professor within ²©88ÑÇÖÞ’s Psychology & Sociology department. His areas of research include cognitive, behavioral, and experimental psychology, memory, memory judgments, false memory, cognitive aging, courtroom psychology, and human and animal learning. He has previously worked on research involving .

Dr. Von Glahn mentored Cohort 16’s Jimena Jaramillo in conducting her own independent research project as part of the McNair Scholars Program.

Dr. Eileen Wallis is a professor within ²©88ÑÇÖÞ’s History department. Her research interests include California and the American West, the Progressive Era, public history, U.S. women's history, and agricultural and environmental history. 

Dr. Wallis mentored Cohort 16’s Adrienne Jaime in conducting her own independent research project as part of the McNair Scholars Program.
