Dr. Sepehr Eskandari is a professor within ²©88ÑÇÖÞ’s Biology department. His areas of interest are molecular physiology and pharmacology of γ-aminobutyric acid (GABA) transporters.

Dr. Eskandari mentored Cohort 16’s Renee Estephan in conducting her own independent research project as part of the McNair Scholars Program.

Dr. Ioana Mihaila is an assistant professor within ²©88ÑÇÖÞ’s Mathematics department. Her research area is analysis.

Dr. Mihaila mentored Cohort 16’s Roxane Mehrassa in conducting her own independent research project as part of the McNair Scholars Program.

Dr. Jamie Snyder is an assistant professor in ²©88ÑÇÖÞ’s Biology department. Her areas of expertise are in Virology and Environmental Microbiology, and her research focuses on the role of viruses in the evolution and ecology of microbes inhabiting natural environments. 

Dr. Snyder mentored Cohort 18’s Veneese Brown in conducting her own independent research project as part of the McNair Scholars Program.

Dr. Andrew D. Steele is an assistant professor within ²©88ÑÇÖÞ’s Biology department. His research interests involve the impact of feeding on circadian rhythms.

Dr. Steele mentored Cohort 16’s Natalie Garcia in conducting her own independent research project as part of the McNair Scholars Program.

Dr. Chantal Stieber is an assistant professor within ²©88ÑÇÖÞ’s Chemistry and Biochemistry department. Her expertise lies in Inorganic Chemistry and her research focuses on solving problems through complementary efforts in synthetic inorganic chemistry, spectroscopy and computational chemistry. 

Dr. Stieber mentored Cohort 18’s Hector Alarcon in conducting his own independent research project as part of the McNair Scholars Program.
