DISCUSSION: Senator Guerrero commented that is a new course proposed by the Kinesiology and Health Promotion Department as a part of their new strategic plan and redesign of their undergraduate programs. The GE Committee determined that this course exemplifies the GE synthesis goals for Area D4. The motion to adopt GE-022-212, KIN 4700: Emotional Well Being and Stress Prevention (New D4), passed with one (1) abstention. Closing Comments Chair Pacleb commented that this is her first year as Academic Senate Chair, her last year as Academic Senate Chair, and her first in-person meeting. She stated her appreciation to all for a wonderful year. She added that it has been a tough year, there were some complicated issues, but the Academic Senate body was always collegial and got the business done. Chair Pacleb thanked Senator Gonzalez for all her wealth of knowledge on parliamentary rules of order and for being the Academic Senate Parliamentarian. She acknowledged the Executive Committee and stated that they were exceptional colleagues to work with. She thanked them for their guidance, input, and collegiality. She stated that it has been great working with incoming Academic Senate Chair Von Glahn and added that they were an effective team.
