Program Eligibility

Bronco Scholars participation is by invitation only, and for CPP students in need of additional support in mathematics based on CSU Multiple Measures. Keep tabs on your personal and CPP email inboxes for information.聽If you are invited to participate, we strongly encourage you to join the program. Click on this card for more information.

Cost

The 1-week overnight campus experience is free for all participants. Students will need to bring spending money for snacks and any personal bookstore purchases. Students eligible for the CSU Tuition Fee waiver can take the summer math course for free, those not eligible for the waiver can expect to pay between $575-$766 ($191/unit plus a $2 student fee). Frequently Asked Questions


Participating in Bronco Scholars is not required. However, we strongly encourage you to consider attending to set yourself up for success your first year.

You can choose if you want to participate in both or one component.

For the 1-week overnight campus experience, there is no coming and going: you will be on campus Monday-Saturday. Do not schedule vacations, appointments, and employment during this timeframe.

For the 6-week course, you are expected to attend and be timely to all classes and activities. ​Do not schedule vacations, appointments, and employment during this timeframe.

You should plan to be on campus from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. each class day. Your math class will begin at 10 a.m. and meets Monday through Thursday.

Each dorm is already furnished with:​

  • Extra long twin bed​
  • Desk & chair​
  • Dresser​
  • Closet​
  • Wastebasket​
  • TV connection​
  • High speed ethernet connection

 

Please make sure to bring the following items with you:​

  • Toiletries: shampoo/conditioner, body wash, dental hygiene, etc
  • Linens/Towels: blanket, X-Long Twin sheets, bath towel etc.​
  • School supplies: notebook, pens, pencils, etc.​
  • Personal laptop, headphones​
  • Recommended: a small amount of cash for vending machines snacks or laundry

You should bring: 

  • Notebooks, pens, pencils and other academic supplies you may need
  • Your Math textbook
  • Personal items (water bottle, medication, etc.)
  • Food for lunch or money to purchase food on campus 
  • Personal laptop
