University Housing Services at ²©88ÑÇÖÞ is seeking motivated leaders to join our team for the 2024 – 2025 academic year as Transfer Thrive Student Ambassadors.
Transfer Thrive Student Ambassador
As a direct response to the needs of our Transfer students, University Housing Services (UHS) developed the Transfer Thrive program. Transfer Thrive is dedicated to serving Transfer students through a dynamic living learning community designed to support Transfer students in their academic, career, and personal growth. Transfer Thrive Student Ambassadors offer career, educational, and social programming and workshops. In addition, Transfer Thrive Student Ambassadors are responsible for outreaching and serving as peer mentors to Transfer residents to ensure they experience a sense of belonging and connection.
Position Experiences & Responsibilities:
- Cultivate a welcoming and inclusive environment for Transfer residents and student staff to thrive.
- Plan and lead workshops and events on topics related to career development, academic success, and personal wellness in partnership with campus partners.
- Develop and implement passive programming initiatives that address the interests and needs of the Transfer Thrive community.
- Create content and manage Transfer Thrive’s newsletter and/or social media.
- Serve as a peer mentor by connecting with Transfer residents, encouraging involvement, and supporting their transition to campus life.
- Model values of inclusivity and equity, using these principles to guide conversations, programs, and interactions with residents.
Position Parameters:
- Currently enrolled undergraduate or graduate student, full or part-time for 2024 – 2025 school year
