Residential Intensive Summer Education (RISE)

Experience the ²©88ÑÇÖÞ Community with RISE!

Established at ²©88ÑÇÖÞ in 2013, Residential Intensive Summer Education (RISE) is a free, immersive, pre-enrollment summer program for high school students and incoming ²©88ÑÇÖÞ first-time freshmen focused on promoting Black student success. Open to all students, regardless of race, color, national origin or sex, RISE empowers students through leadership development, academic preparedness and cultural competence and provides participants with the resources, mentorship and community-building experiences needed to succeed in higher education and beyond.  

RISE is comprised of the following three cohorts:

RISE UP

RISE UP introduces 9th and 10th grade high schoolers to the skills, knowledge and confidence needed to excel academically and personally.

RISE ABOVE equips 11th and 12th grade high schoolers with the tools and resources to navigate the college admissions process, explore career options and enhance their leadership abilities.
